Pakistan to get 13m Pfizer corona vaccine shots by end of this year

Pakistan has inked an agreement with US pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc., according to which, Pfizer will provide 13 million mRNA coronavirus vaccines to Pakistan by the end of this year (2021), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the federal government officials, Pfizer will supply one million doses to Pakistan in July and the remaining doses of the mRNA vaccine will be provided by the end of this year.
Moreover, Pakistan will also buy 10 million Russian vaccines Sputnik-V in late June or the first week of July. It has been reported, Pakistan will receive 10 million doses of the Russian vaccine Sputnik-V by September.
Earlier today, Planning Minister Asad Umar tweeted, “Last week June 12-18, more than 23 lakh vaccinations were done at a rate of 332,877 per day. This is the highest so far in any week. With 1.5 million vaccines arriving today and another almost five million in the next 10 days, inshallah next week will be a new record. Well done Pakistan.”
