China, PMA to share medical knowledge

China will share the current development and social uplift of China in medicine, financial growth, and progress with Pakistan.
For this purpose, both countries have named the two sister organizations of the medical fraternity “The Chinese Medical Association and Pakistan Medical Association” as key focal persons.
Chinese Consul General in Lahore His Excellency Mr Zhao Shiren announced this during a meeting with a delegation of PMA Lahore in his office.
Chinese delegation was led by Consul General and assisted by Director Political Department Mr Du Yue.
PMA delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Nizami, President along with Prof. Dr. Shahid Malik, General Secretary and Vice President Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Khan.
President PMA extended honorary membership of PMA Lahore and pinned the brooch to H.E. Mr. Zhao Shiren and presented album of 3rd Pak-China MedCong held in November 2022 in Lahore.
Shields of twenty (20) Chinese scientists and professors were also presented. A book titled “China Model of Development: Lesson for Pakistan” written by former ambassador Syed Hassan Javaid and translated in Urdu by Dr Sher Shah syed was also presented to the Consul General.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. After detailed discussion and deliberations His Excellency Zhao Shiren was pleased to agree and declare following policy decisions:
Facilitation will be provided to PMA regarding visa application to China, at Chinese Consulate, Lahore.
Sino Pak medical tourism for patient treatment and capacity building of professionals will be geared up under the Pak-China Medical Corridor.
Activities in Socio-Medical and Cultural Sector will be promoted in Pakistan under ambit of Shanghai Forum.
Chinese Consulate General in Lahore appreciated the proposal of establishing “Pak-China Hospital” raised by PMA.
