FIA cyber crime circle held man for leaking sensitive data of top govt officials

FIA cyber crime circle Islamabad has apprehended a man who was found involved in anti-state activities as well as leaking of sensitive data on social media app X, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The accused, identified as Anas Nawaz, was taken into custody from a private housing society near Bani Gala in Islamabad. The accused accessed the passport and immigration database illegally and Shared the personal passports of citizens and photos of high-ranking government officials on social media site X.
According to FIA cyber crime cell, arrested man tried to create panic and uncertainty by sharing sensitive information on social media.
FIA cyber crime cell has registered case against the accused under PECA Act 2016. The further investigations were underway after taking control of accused’s social media account and the content.
