ICC team expresses total satisfaction on PCB security plan for Champions Trophy

A delegation of International Cricket Council (ICC) held a detailed meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad to discuss security arrangements for ICC Champions Trophy matches to be held in Pakistan next year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
During the meeting with PCB chairman, the ICC delegation expressed complete satisfaction over security plan of PCB for holding ICC Champions Trophy matches in Karachi, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
On this occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assured the ICC delegation that all measures of international standards will be adopted for holding ICC Champions Trophy matches successfully. He further assured that upgradation of stadiums will be completed as per schedule and before the mega event.
He said that foolproof security will be provided to all the participating teams ICC Champions Trophy matches. He said that holding of ICC Champions Trophy matches is honor for Pakistan.
He said that PCB finalizing a plan according to facilitate and provide peaceful and secure environment to all the participating cricketers so they enjoy playing here without any fear.
He said after the upgradation of the stadiums will be completed as per schedule all the facilities of international standards will be available and cricket fans will enjoy ICC Champions Trophy matches.
Mohin Navi said that Pakistanis love cricket and will extend support every participating team of the tournament.
ICC delegation include Senior Manager Events Sara Edgar, Event Manager and Champions Trophy Event Lead Aun Mohammad Zaidi, General Manager Cricket Wasim Khan, Security Manager David Muskar and Broadcast Consultant Mansoor Manj.
Pakistan Cricket Board’s Director International Cricket Usman Wahla, Director Security Col ® Khalid Mehmod, Head of Marketing Salman Masood also present on the occasion.
ICC delegation visits Pindi Stadium
On Thursday, the ICC delegation visited the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi to review the arrangements for the Champions Trophy.
The delegation was led by Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager) and included David Musgrave (Security Manager), Sarah Edgar (Senior Manager of Events), Aun Muhammad Zaidi (Event Manager) and Mansoor Manj (ICC Broadcast Consultant).
The ICC delegation reviewed the upgradation and available facilities at Pindi Stadium and was also briefed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials on the occasion. The ICC delegation also met with the security officials.
The delegation, which had already visited the National Stadium Karachi, will also visit the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
