Two robbers shot dead in Shikarpur police encounters

Two robbers were killed and another was arrested in injured condition during two different police encounters in Shikarpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shikarpur Irfan Samu, as a result of cross-firing, one robber was killed while other was arrested in an injured condition at a police picket in Jhan Khan area.

The second encounter took place near Dukhan Link, Madiji police station limits where the robbers riding in the car were trying to rob the citizens on Link Road.

On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the scene and as soon as the robbers saw the police, they opened fire on the police.

However, as a result of the retaliatory firing by the police, one robber was killed on the spot, said SSP.

The bodies of the dead bandits have been shifted to the hospital and the process of identifying the dead robbers is going on, SSP Shikarpur said.
