Ishaq Dar loses cool after officer loses file!

The deputy prime minister and foreign minister scolded an officer of the Foreign Ministry in front of an army of journalists and their cameras as the ceremony of signing agreements with the visiting Rwandan foreign minister was about to conclude in Islamabad on Monday, reported 24NewsDH TV channel.

Deputy Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and his Rwandan counterpart Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe have just ended signing of the documents and wanted a final pose for journalists with holding the files and shaking hands.

The visiting Rwandan minister was handed over the right file, a green one, and he was up and ready to shake hands with Ishaq Dar who was fuming as he support staff handed him the wrong file, also a green one.

The Pakistani minister laid his eyes on the officer and asked for the right fine, a red one, which was promptly found and handed over to the fuming Ishaq Dar, who quickly exchanged it with the guest and shook hands with broad smiles.

Earlier, Pakistan and Rwanda have agreed to deepen their cooperation in areas of trade, investment, defence, diplomacy, and people-to-people exchanges. The understanding came at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe in Islamabad on Monday.

The two sides held in-depth discussions covering the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.

Later addressing a joint presser, Ishaq Dar said their talks focused on strengthening existing ties and exploring new avenues of cooperation.

Ishaq Dar said the two sides have also signed an MOU in the field of diplomatic training. He said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Rwanda. He said Rwandan High Commission in Islamabad is also being inaugurated during the visit of the Rwandan foreign minister.
