The Punjab government has appointed acclaimed actress and television host Iffat Omar as the cultural adviser to the Provincial Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bukhari.

According to official sources, the seasoned media personality will be responsible for reviving and promoting Punjab’s cultural heritage, a task seen as both crucial and symbolic in preserving the province's rich artistic traditions.

As part of her appointment, Iffat Omar has been allotted an official office at Alhamra Cultural Complex, Lahore — the symbolic heart of the province’s artistic and cultural activities.

Widely recognised for her longstanding contributions to Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Iffat Omar brings with her a deep understanding of media, arts, and public engagement.

Her role is expected to bridge the gap between traditional cultural expressions and modern platforms, injecting new energy into Punjab's cultural initiatives.
