Four sisters, brother drown in Kohat village

Five children of a family drowned in a pond in the Kiri Sheikhan village in Gumbat Tehsil, Kohat District, on Friday.
According to reports, a woman was washing clothes at a pond in this Khyber Pakhtunkhwa village and her four daughters and a son were playing around. All of a sudden, the woman’s six-year-old son slipped into the pond and went down.
The woman jumped into the pond to save her son’s life and so did her four daughters. As the pond was too deep for the young ones to swim out of it, all five siblings drowned before their mother’s eyes.
Later, locals retrieved bodies of the children from the pond and their post-mortem was carried out at a nearby hospital. The children were aged six to fourteen.

According to another count, two of the children were swimming in the pond when they went to the deeper side and drowned. Their three siblings drowned in an attempt to save those drowning.
