Sharjeel Inam takes a swipe at Punjab govt’s power subsidy plan

PPP leader and Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon expressing disappointment over the statements of Punjab chief minister, said that PML-N led government in Center was increasing power prices while PML-N government in Punjab was giving subsidy in Punjab for two month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Sharjeel Memon asked the Punjab government to tell the nation what next after two months. PPP leader said country was getting get cheap electricity from Tharparkar coal, from where the power is going to national grid.
He said, “the federal government increased electricity rates all over Pakistan and you made electricity cheap only in Punjab”.
He said that the younger brother (PM Shehbaz Sharif) increased the electricity bills across the country and the elder brother (Nawaz Sharif) announced relief for 2 months only in Punjab. He questioned what will happen in the third month?
Sharjeel Memon said visionary leadership gives long-term planning as a leader has vision, mind, intellect and understanding. He said Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had a vision and Prsident Zardari was working on her vision.
He said Sindh government was working on such a project that the whole of Pakistan will get cheap electricity. He said the government can export Thar coal for more than two hundred years.
Sharjeel Memon said the Sindh government gave hundreds of billions of rupees for the Tharkol project, which did not benefit the Sindh government but benefited the people of the country. But unluckily Benzair government was toppled. After her ouster, PML-N government came into power and slashed the project.
He said “Sindh government can answer everything. You (PML-N) take the plan from us, we are making the plan for you, now the federal government has come to this conclusion that more electricity will be generated from Tharparkar coal”.
Talking about PTI, Sharjeel Memon said none one has made low politics like PTI founder. He said Imran Khan was getting exposed day by day. He said PTI a compromise on national sovereignty for foreign funding.
