The Islamabad High Court has reserved its verdict on the appeals in the Noor Mukadam murder case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
After hearing arguments in the case on Wedneday, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq reserved the verdict.
The court had allowed both the parties to submit their replies within seven days.
During yesterday’s hearing, plaintiff Shaukat Mukadam’s lawyer argued before the court that petition of insanity could only be filed in the court if the accused was incapable. But since the magistrate stated that he heard the accused when the latter was brought before him on July 21, then he did not mention his insanity, the lawyer added.
The lawyer further told the court that no medical examination was conducted of the accused nor the court had mentioned anything regarding his mental state when it granted his remand.
