There are opportunities to work on hydel power projects in Pakistan: Elahi

Ambassador of Switzerland Bénédict de Cerjat called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the Assembly Chamber on Monday.
They discussed issues of economic, trade and mutual interest and agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in tourism and other fields between the two countries in the meeting.
Elahi said that there are numerous opportunities to work on hydel power projects in Pakistan. Work is underway on ten hydel power dams, he added.
He further said that we have taken both the government and the opposition on board on legislation on local bodies, Pakistan values its relations with Switzerland.
Cooperation with Switzerland should be enhanced, especially in all areas of education, health, trade and investment, he said adding that there is a need to expand the fields, establishing links between the two countries' institutions of higher learning, especially in the fields of medicine, clinical science, psychology and economics and management.
Swiss Ambassador Bénédict de Cerjat said that Pakistan is a beautiful country, the deployment here is a pleasant experience of my career.
The Swiss Ambassador also visited the new building of the Punjab Assembly.
Secretary Coordination Punjab Assembly Rai Mumtaz Hussain Babar, DG Parliamentary Affairs Inayatullah Lak, Deputy Head of Mission Switzerland Alberto Groove and Osama Qaiser Khan were also present in the meeting.
