Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has cried foul, alleging that a fugitive is being imposed.
“There is no rule of law but but we will continue our fight,” he said in an informal talk at the Adiala Jail.
“All is being done to block my way to power corridor. This environment is created to bring down turnout and impose Nawaz Sharif on us,” the former prime minister said.
He added, “An Indian who runs a small shop in Dubai valuated all the Toshakhan gifts and the case was based on the same witness who was cross-examined today.
“The jewelery worth Rs 180,000 was shown as more than Rs300 crore. the increase in the price of the gifts was done to please him.
He continued: “I was disqualified while the court decision has been suspended. Convicted Nawaz Sharif was cleared.
“The appeal against my disqualification and the human rights petition are not being heard.
He claimed: “We are not even being given permission to conduct election campaign. What kind of democracy is this? Our candidates are being arrested.
“Despite the decision of Lahore High Court against the rejection of nomination papers, the written order is not being issued even after 4 days passed.
He stressed: “The way the election is being conducted will increase political instability in the country and the country's economy will sink.
He averred he never contacted Narendra Modi after August 5 and no attempt has been made to contact Modi on the matter of Abhinandan. “This is all a lie,” he added.
The PTI founder said whoever leaves the party will lose his political future.
“PTI has a vote bank, that's why this party is not being broken away by the establishment,” he added.
He claimed as soon as the election is over, people will come to PTI.
“I am a politician, I will do politics, I will not hold a gun in my hand.”
He alleged the election commission’s match is fixed that is why it is putting off the matter of the PTI intra-party polls.
“The election commission cannot question intra-party elections,” he argued, adding: “There is no word yet on whether new intra-party elections will be held or not.”
It has been heard that Nawaz Sharif has cancelled Lahhay 's rally.
“I say leave me three days before the election and allow only one rally … they will come to know what the rally is. I will exercise my right to vote,” he said.
