10 killed, 31 injured in rain-related incidents in Balochistan

As many as 10 people were killed while 31 were injured in different rain-related incidents in Balochistan during the last 15 days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In its report released on Sunday on the loss of life and property caused by recent monsoon rains in the province between July 7 and July 21, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that children were also among those dead and injured.  

Giving further details, it said that 89 houses were completely destroyed while 170 were partially damaged in different districts of the province during the aforementioned period.

The Authority said that in all 1,799 people were affected by rains in the province. “17 kilometers long roads while 310 acres of agricultural lands were also affected,” the PDMA informed.

However, it said that the water situation in the province’s dams was normal.

The Authority said that relief and rescue activities were being carried out in the rain-affected areas.
