FAFEN denies supporting EVMs without unanimity

The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN), a non-governmental organization categorically denied supporting the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) with mutual understanding between the government and the opposition.  

The 24News HD TV Channel reported on Tuesday that FAFEN in a statement said it had not commented on the voting machine made by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The organization said that political consensus was much needed before obtaining the EVMs.

The organization also urged the government that it should amend the law in this regard.
