Rawalpindi Police arrest suspect in shooting anti-dengue team

Rawalpindi police Wednesday arrested an accused who opened straight fire at anti-dengue team in Dhok Imam Deen area of Beruni Saddar Police station, reported 24newsHD TV channel.
Police said no causality reported in the incident as government team miraculously survived the attack.
The incident occurred in Dhok Imam Deen, an area of Beruni Saddar Police station in Rawalpindi in which the dengue team wanted to spray in the house but the person in the house stopped the dengue workers to do so.
Upon insistence by dengue team, the unidentified man opened fire on the dengue workers.
But the dengue workers survived the fire miraculously. Rawalpindi Sadar Baruni Police later arrested the suspect who resisted the dengue team.
Rawalpindi Central Police Official (CPO) Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari said: “It is not acceptable to stop or resist any government official from performing his duties. Police will take strict action against such serious offences.”
Dengue cases are on the rise in Punjab and in Sindh metropolis Karachi and authorities have paced up anti-dengue spray to control the outbreak.
Also, dengue cases are spreading rapidly in Lahore as 100 new dengue cases were reported in a single day, while dengue larvae were detected from 764 different hotspots in the city.
