The entry of a ‘suspicious’ person in a Turkey-bound special plane at Islamabad International Airport on Sunday due to the negligence of the FIA’s immigration personnel set off alarm bells among the airport staff, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that some security officials belonging to the Netherlands, who were also on board the flight, FHY-965, alerted the airport administration about his presence which had to call in ASF personnel who entered the plane and brought out Naimatullah, the suspect, handcuffed.
The Dutch security officials had first checked the list of passengers, and when they found out that there was an addition of one more person to the list of 173 passengers who had already booked their seats in the flight, they pointed out this to the airport staff.
The sources added that Naimatullah told the interrogators that he worked at the airport as a sweeper.
The ASF personnel, after initial questioning, handed the suspect over to the police for further legal action.
