CM Naqvi directs health dept to make plan for supply of medicines in hospitals

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the health department to prepare a comprehensive plan for the procurement and supply of quality medicines in hospitals across the province.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab CM Naqvi also proposed to establish a special authority to purchase medicine and ensure its timely delivery to the health facilities.
He directed that a transparent and efficient procedure for the procurement of medicines should be devised and a fool-proof and electric speed system should be adopted to store and distribute the medicines.
CM Naqvi stressed that the management skills of medicine purchase and storage are essential to provide the best health care to the citizens.
The CM said that the provision of quality medicine for treatment is the right of every citizen and the duty of the government.
