A woman embraced martyrdom while three citizens including a 4-year minor got injured as Indian troops yet again resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter Services Public Relations said in a press release Tuesday.
According to the details, Indian troops deliberately targeted the civil population with mortars and heavy weapons in Hotspring and Jandrot Sectors along the LoC.
As a result, a 50 years old woman embraced shahadat while three citizens including a four-year-old child Nayab got injured.
The injured evacuated to a nearby medical facility for necessary treatment.
The Indian occupation forces along the LoC and the Working Boundary (WB) have been continuously targeting civilian populated areas with artillery fire, heavy-calibre mortars, and automatic weapons.
In 2020, the Indian occupation forces have carried out over 3000 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 28 shahadats and serious injuries to over 250 innocent civilians.
The Indian forces even targeted the vehicles of the UN Observers last week when were on their way to Polas village in Azad Jammu & Kashmir to meet with the victims of the Indian ceasefire violations in Chirikot Sector of the Line of Control.
Both the Observers present in the vehicle thankfully remained unharmed and were safely rescued and evacuated to Rawalakot by the Pakistan Army. However, their vehicle sustained damage.
The attack was unambiguously premeditated as UN vehicles are clearly recognizable even from long distances due to their distinctive marking and blue flag.
