Labourers trapped after rockslide hits Haripur plant

A rescue operation was underway at the crushing plant site that was collapsed in a rockfall landslide incident at Khoi Meera area in Khanpur union council of District Haripur on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per initial information, there are reports of several labourers trapped under the debris. So far, the rescue workers were able to retrieve one dead body and an injured from the debris.

Haripur Police have cordoned off the area and a rescue operation was underway.

Police said that no irrelevant person was allowed to enter the premises other than the rescue workers.

A heavy rock fell from a cliff and hit the crushing plant destroying the valuable machinery.
