ATC extends Khadija Shah, other women’s judicial remand for 14 days

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore Thursday extended the judicial remand of Khadija Shah and other women for 14 days in the arson and Jinnah House attack case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
13 women, including Khadija Shah, Aliya Hamza Malik, Sanam Javed and Tayyaba Raja, were produced in the ATC on the completion of judicial remand.
The court also ordered the police to submit the challan of the case.
Earlier in day, the ATC granted bail to 10 suspects in the arson and Askari Tower attack case on the condition of submitting Rs100,000 worth of surety bonds each, and it dismissed the bail pleas of Khadija Shah and Fahmida Begum in the same case on merit.
The court also dismissed the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid on the grounds of non-compliance.
ATC judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar pronounced the verdict. “The bail of elderly accused, children and advocates has been approved under special concession,” the court said.
Ali Nawaz Advocate, Sajawal Ali Khan, Ali Ahmed, Zahid Pervaiz, Kashif Mehmood, and Mukarram Tahir were among those whose bail have been approved.
A case numbered 1,271 was registered against the accused in the Gulberg police station.
Also, the ATC granted bail to 23 suspects in the case of torching police vehicles.
The court granted them bail on the condition of submitting Rs100,000 worth of surety bonds each.
Shabnam Jahangir, Nayyar Irfan, Muhammad Usman and Shoaib Latif were among those who were granted bail.
ATC judge Ejaz Ahmad Buttar pronounced the verdict.
