Rs24b money-laundering case: Special Central Court postpones hearing against Parvez Elahi till June 20

Special Central Court has postponed the hearing of the Rs24 billion money laundering case against former Punjab Chief Minister Ch Parvez Elahi till June 20, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Special Central Court Lahore judge Sheikh Tanvir Ahmed heard the case. After the start of the hearing, the medical certificate of Pervez Elahi was presented in the court.
The medical report said that PTI leader Parvez Elahi was ill, and his tests were being conducted as doctors had recommended bed rest until the medical tests were completed.
The report further claimed that the doctors have not allowed Pervez Elahi to travel during the treatment.
The court had ordered the formation of a medical board for Parvez Elahi who suffered fractures on his rib when he fell in the washroom of the prison.
PTI leader’s lawyers also contended that Parvaiz Elahi was suffering from other diseases and he was facing difficulties in breathing and could not appear in the court.
In the same money laundering case, the court had ordered to speed up communication with Interpol for action on the red warrant of PTI leader Monis Elahi.
The court has already declared Monis Elahi as an absconder in this case. FIA had registered a case of Rs 24 billion money laundering against Parvez Elahi and his son Monis Elahi and others. FIA has also filed a challan against Parvez Elahi in the court.
