Interim federal cabinet okays salary packages for NAB Deputy Chairman and Prosecutor General

The Caretaker Federal Cabinet on Tuesday granted approval for the salaries and benefits of the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) Deputy Chairman and Prosecutor General, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources, NAB Deputy Chairman, Sohail Nasir, has been approved for a monthly salary of Rs 1.5 million along with perks.
Similarly, NAB Prosecutor General Syed Ehtisham Qadir Shah will be able to receive a salary of Rs 1.658 million along with additional benefits.
Sources indicate that the Caretaker Federal Cabinet’s meeting also okayed that the NAB Deputy Chairman will be entitled to get 500 liters of petrol, electricity, gas, and other allowances equivalent to those of a High Court judge. Likewise, the NAB Prosecutor will receive 600 liters of petrol, a car with a driver, electricity, gas, and other allowances equivalent to a Supreme Court judge.
It has been further disclosed that both Deputy Chairman NAB and Prosecutor General NAB will also receive a bonus based on recoveries.
The approval for the salaries and benefits was obtained through a summary presented to the interim federal cabinet by the Ministry of Law.
NAB Chairman, Lt Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt also gave his recommendations for the approval of salaries and benefits for both.
