Boxing icon Usman Wazeer faces UK visa hurdle ahead of Sheffield showdown

Pakistan’s premier professional boxer Usman Wazeer is facing challenges obtaining a UK visa for his 15th international boxing match, scheduled for December 7 in England.
The 24-year-old will fight Mexico’s Ramiro Garcia Lopez at Park Community Arena, Sheffield.
Taking to social media, Wazeer appealed to British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, requesting her assistance in expediting his visa process as soon as possible.
"I need your help in facilitating the visa process for my upcoming fight in England," Wazeer added in his message, highlighting the significance of the event.
Wazeer also emphasized the enthusiasm of Pakistani boxing fans residing in England, who are eagerly awaiting the match.
"A large number of Pakistani boxing supporters in England are anticipating this fight," he stated, underlining the importance of his participation.
Since turning pro in 2019, Usman Wazeer has enjoyed an impeccable record of 14-0 with 10 of his wins coming via stoppage, underlining his potential as one of the best pugilists from Pakistan. Usman only recently took up his 14th fight, beating India’s Tilak Selvam on 26th September in just the first round.
Ramiro “EL DURO” Garcia Lopez, meanwhile, boasts a professional record of 8 wins and 14 losses with his latest win coming against British-Afghan boxer Hamed Ghaz.
