Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, the lawyer representing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, has revealed that his stolen iPhone, containing sensitive case-related records, has been traced to India.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the phone was snatched at knifepoint on December 23 near Faizabad following a hearing in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
An FIR has also been registered at the I-9 Police Station Islamabad, with Zafar Mehdi leading the investigation.
According to Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry, the iPhone 13 Pro Max was critical to his coordination efforts between courts, lawyers, and accused parties in various cases.
Despite efforts to track it through the "Find My iPhone" feature, the device resurfaced recently in the central Indian region between Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, as confirmed by Apple Inc.
Khalid Yousuf Chaudhry questioned how smuggling routes have seemingly opened with India, remarking:
"It was known that smuggling happened through Afghanistan, but now this raises serious concerns about hidden routes with India."
