Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has ordered a two-day closure of all CNG stations in Sindh due to the shortage of gas supply from two major gas fields, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
All CNG stations in Sindh province will remain shut for 48 hours from 8 am on Saturday, September 23.
CNG stations across Sindh will reopen at 8 am on Monday, September 25.
SSGC said due to a technical fault which resulted in the closure of 02 major gas fields, the supply of gas has decreased resulting in the depletion of the line pack and low pressure in the system.
“In compliance with Sectoral Priority Order in force for gas load management, all CNG Stations in Sindh (including those being opera. on RLNG), will remain closed according to the below-mentioned schedule: Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 08:00 a.m. to Monday, September 25, 2023 till 08:00 a.m. (48) hours.”
Sui Southern Gas said the aim of gas load management is to meet the gas needs of domestic consumers.
