Health minister briefed about AI-based arterial blockage diagnosis software

Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Vice-Chancellor Tanveer Khaliq briefed Federal Health Minister Dr Nadeem Jan about the AI-based arterial blockage diagnosis software they developed, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
He said the software developed by the university will play a very vital role in the field of vascular surgery.
Tanveer Khaliq discussed the educational activities, recent performance and challenges faced by the institution with the health minister.
Dr Nadeem Jan said that effective measures for the improvement of health and medical education are being taken by the government and all universities should play their role following the modern requirements of research and training in the field of medicine.
He said that the construction of a new academic block in the university has started for which Rs2.75 billion has been allocated and it will be completed within three years.
