Saudi Chief of General Staff visits Air Headquarters

A high-level delegation led by Chief of General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyad bin Hameed Al-Ruwali Thursday visited Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
According to the Spokesperson of Pakistan Air Force, issues of mutual interest, defence cooperation and international strategic situation were discussed in the meeting.
A well-tuned unit of the Pakistan Air Force presented a guard of honour on the arrival of General Fayyad bin Hameed Al-Ruwali.
During the meeting, the Pakistan Air Force Chief mentioned his policy decisions based on ground realities.
He said the Pakistan Air Force will be developed on modern lines through the acquisition of modern technologies, upgradation of infrastructure and restructuring of operational and training domains.
He said Saudi Arabia is the nucleus of the Muslim world and an excellent strategic partner.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have longstanding religious, cultural and historical ties.
The Air Chief reiterated his unwavering commitment to further develop the already existing relationship in the field of cooperation and training between the forces of the two countries.
He said Pakistan values its strong diplomatic, economic and defence ties with Saudi Arabia.
The Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces praised the extraordinary progress made by the Pakistan Air Force in the field of self-reliance.
Saudi Chief of General Staff appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan Air Force personnel.
He assured to play his role at all levels to promote existing relations with the PAF.
The distinguished guest expressed his desire to strengthen bilateral partnerships in various fields including cooperation in the training sector, new emerging technologies and the aviation industry.
The Saudi delegation visited Pakistan Air Force's National ISR and Integrated Air Operations Center, Cyber Command and National Aerospace Science and Technology Park, among other facilities.
A briefing was given to the delegation about various ongoing projects to keep pace with the operational capabilities and innovation of the Pakistan Air Force.
