The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday sought an answer from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the confiscation of prohibited funds case till September 6 next, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PTI, during the hearing of the case, sought time from Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja for submitting the answer and the relevant documents.

“But the PTI has already submitted all the relevant documents in the case,” said the CEC.

“There still are documents that are to be sought from the PTI foreign chapter. The details of so many things are to be told in view of the ECP’s findings,” said the PTI’s counsel.

The PTI sought four weeks over the notice of confiscation of prohibited funds to which the CEC said that time above one week could not be given.

“Give at least two weeks then,” pleads the counsel.

The ECP, however, sought an answer from the PTI till September 6 next.

It is to be noted here that Shah Khawar, a lawyer for the PTI, did not come. In his stead, his assistant appeared before the ECP for hearing of the case.
