Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) received another jolt on Saturday when one of its members announced that he was joining Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), reports 24NewsHD TV channel.
Saleem Bandhani had also remained MQM-P member of Sindh Assembly from Sukkur.
Bandhani announced his decision in the presence of Provincial Minister for Labour Saeed Ghani.
Speaking on the occasion, MQM-P’s renegade said that he would work along with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to eliminate politics of hatred from Karachi.
He expressed the resolve to make urban areas of Sindh bastions of PPP by trying to resolve issues of these areas through the party leadership.
Sindh Minister for Labour Saeed Ghani said it was heartening that members of MQM-P from different parts of Karachi were joining PPP. “This will make the party more strong,” he expressed the hope.
He said he, on behalf of PPP’s high-command, welcomed Bandhani and other former MQM-P members in the party.
