Written exams for civil, sessions judges’ recruitment to commence from March 25

The written examination for filling the vacant seats of judges in lower courts will commence from March 25 in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It is learnt that the lower courts are faced with a shortage of around 750 judges.
They are facing a shortage of 150 additional district and sessions judges and over 600 civil judges.
The process for the recruitment of new judges in the lower courts will start from March 25.
Written exams for the posts of civil judge and those of additional district and sessions judge will start from March 25 and March 26, respectively.
The exams will be conducted at the examination centers of Punjab University.
The examination process will be supervised by a committee of judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) headed by Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
The candidates will appear in exams for the subjects of civil and criminal code, High Court Rules and Order, English, Urdu and General Knowledge.
Candidates for the post of additional district and sessions judge will take the exam for the subject of Criminal Law-I on March 26, Criminal Law-II on March 29, Civil Law-I on March 31, Civil Law-II on April 2, and High Court Rules and Order on April 5.
Exam for the subject of English will be held on April 7, Urdu on April 9, and General Knowledge on April 11.
Civil Judges-cum-Magistrates will take written examination of Civil Law-I on March 25, Civil Law-II on March 28, Criminal Law on March 30, General Knowledge on April 1, English on April 4, and Urdu on April 6.
