Lily Stewart, the University of Georgia (UGA) sophomore who went viral earlier this month for her smiling mugshot, has been arrested again.

According to Athens-Clarke County records, Stewart, 20, was arrested on March 23 by UGA police on charges of obstructing a law enforcement officer and loitering/prowling. She was booked at 5:26 a.m. and released on a $4,000 bond just before 11 a.m.

Both the UGA Police Department and the Clarke County Sheriff's Office have not yet provided additional details about the incident. Stewart has not made a public statement regarding the arrest.

This comes just weeks after Stewart's mugshot from March 8 gained viral attention. In that image, she was seen smiling with a fresh blowout and pearl earrings, which quickly spread across social media. Stewart had been arrested for speeding 85 mph in a 55-mph zone while on her way to a fraternity party in Milledgeville, Georgia. She later posted a $440 bond and completed a defensive driving course, 20 hours of community service, and a paper on the dangers of speeding.

Despite her legal issues, Stewart’s viral fame has brought her thousands of new social media followers and sparked significant online commentary. Authorities previously expressed hopes that she would learn from her experiences.
