A fire suddenly broke out in the flea market (Landa Bazaar) gutting 20 shops in Tando Adam and inflicting losses worth millions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to rescue officials, the fire has increased the risk of engulfing the surrounding buildings because only one vehicle of the fire brigade is busy in extinguishing the fire and that too has to bring water from a distance.
Due to the negligence of Tando Adam municipality, the fire brigade tanker ran out of water forcing them to shuttle water from the nearby sewer to extinguish the fire.
The fire, so far, has engulfed 20 shops and goods worth crores of rupees have been burnt to ashes.
However, the shop owners lamented the fire brigade's tardy response to the fire, which they claimed led to more damage.
