Karachi's Surjani Town records highest rainfall

The Meteorological Department has released the statistics of rainfall in different parts of Karachi. So far, the highest rainfall of 70 mm has been recorded in Surjani Town reported 24NewsHD TV Thursday.
The second highest rainfall of 49.5 mm was recorded in North Karachi during the last two hours, while Base Faisal recorded 11 mm, Orangi Town 10 mm, University Road 8.8mm while Defence Phase II recorded 7 mm rainfall. Moreover, Nazimabad 2 mm, Quaid-Abad 3 mm, Gulshan-e-Hadeed 5 mm while 2.7 mm rain was recorded in Kamari.
After the rain in Karachi, the performance of the administration got badly exposed as rainwater was collected on the roads of different areas including Punjab Chowrangi.
Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab inspected MA Jinnah Road, Shaheen Complex, Tower, Netty Jetty, after the rain. He also visited Nagan Chowrangi, Hussainabad, Karimabad, Musa Colony, Sakhi Hassan and adjoining areas.
Murtaza Wahab was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Central, Municipal Commissioner KMC and many other concerned officials.
The weather turned out pleasant after rainfall. According to the meteorological department, there is a prediction of more rain in Karachi, tonight.
