Quaid-e-Azam University decides to revive student union, CJP attends syndicate meeting

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa participated in the Syndicate meeting of Quaid-i-Azam University as a member of the Syndicate in which it was decided to revive the student union.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Syndicate meeting of the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr Niaz Ahmed.
The sources said Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa attended the meeting as a member of the syndicate of the university.
The sources said a committee headed by Education Secretary Waseem Ajmal has also been formed to decide the rules for the restoration of the student union.
A representative of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) attended the syndicate meeting of the university in the absence of the commission's chairman.
The sources said Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa expressed his displeasure over the presence of armed police and Rangers on the premises of the university in Islamabad.
