Incidents of kidnappings for ransom are continuously on the rise in Sindh as six more persons have been kidnapped in Shikarpur and Tangwani, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Police said four people were kidnapped in two separate incidents near Town Chak.

Giving details, the police said that the dacoits kidnapped three persons from Andlani Pull namely Abdus Sammad Jatoi, Maula Bux Jatoi and Sawan Jatoi.

In the second incident reported from the katcha area, the Force said, the dacoits took away a man with them named Abdur Rahim Mehr.

This infuriated the area residents who started chasing the outlaws to secure the release of the captives.

This led to an exchange of fire due to which one person was injured, the police informed.

However, the dacoits succeeded in taking Mehr to their hideouts in the katcha area, bringing the total number of people kidnapped in the district in the last few days to 14.

The police said they had launched a search operation in the area.

On the other hand, families of the captives have demanded the authorities ensure the release of their loved ones.
