Punjab CM Maryam approves ‘Apna Ghar’ project in five cities

State land has been identified in five cities of Punjab for a housing scheme for low-income homeless people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Approval has been given in principle of ‘Apna Ghar’ project on 519 kanals of land in five major cities including Lahore.

A special meeting presided over by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was held for briefing on construction of model houses and monthly installments.

In the meeting, consultation with Pakistan Council for Architects and Town Planners for maps of houses was agreed.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to launch ‘Aapna Ghar’ project near cities.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawa Sharif also ordered measures to make the best house at minimum cost.

Senior Provincial Minister Mariam Aurangzeb, Senator Pervez Rasheed, Information and Culture Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary, SMBR, Chairman P&D, Secretary Housing, Secretary Finance, Commissioner Lahore and other officials were also present in the meeting.
