Case filed against Shahid Afridi for fraud and dishonesty

Islamabad Police on Saturday booked 10 persons, including former cricketer Shahid Afridi, in a case of fraud, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his FIR registered at Rawat police station, Abid bin Abdul Quddoos Qazi said that the suspects received Rs9.5 million from him for two shops at a private housing society.
The complainant said that although the suspects kept sending him the amount from the rent for some time, but later it dawned upon him that there was no existence of these shops right from the very start.
It was further revealed that the suspects had allotted each shop to different persons. “Moreover, although the agreement had been signed with the man named Sheikh Fawad, but the documents did not bear his signatures, but of somebody else. Therefore, it is requested that legal action should be taken against Afridi and his accomplices,” read the FIR.
