Former principal secretary to Punjab ex-chief minister Muhammad Khan Bhatti Tuesday approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) to seek protective bail in the cases against him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The blue-eyed officer of former Punjab chief minister Pervaiz Elahi approached the LHC to obtain the details of the cases against him and for the removal of his name from the no-fly list.
He made the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and others respondents in his petition.
“My name was placed on the no-fly list illegally,” he stated.
“It is feared that the cases have been registered on political grounds,” he added.
“Arrest in these cases is likely. The court should grant protective bail,” he pleaded.
Meanwhile, the official police protocol was withdrawn from Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
Former capital city police officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar had given a police squad to Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
Six police vehicles used to provide him security. The squad on each police vehicle used to cost the government Rs2 million per month.
Muhammad Khan Bhatti had been provided the police protocol against the rules.
