Brutal torture of teen domestic worker surfaces

An incident of brutal torture of a teen domestic worker in the federal capital surfaced, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
According to the victim’s parents, 14-year-old Rizwana was sent to Islamabad to work at the house of Civil Judge Asim Hafeez seven months ago and was brought back to her hometown Sargodha with critical injuries caused by severe torture.
The preliminary medical report at Sargodha DHQ Hospital pointed out the teenager has injuries to 15 parts of her body, including her head.

Sargodha DPO Faisal Kamran said the delay in treatment made the victim endure wound worms too.
The teenager has been brought to Lahore General Hospital where doctors say her treatment is on.

“All the wounds seem old. Tests are also being conducted. Delay in treatment resulted in complications. We have also called a gynecologist too. He said he can't say right now if she fell prey to violence

The victim’s mother, Shamim Bibi, called for bringing the culprit to book.
She said: “The situation of the girl is in front of you, there are marks of injuries all over her body. The girl's hands and feet are broken and she has head injuries and wound worms.”
Earlier, the sister and father of the victim too raised the demand for justice. According to them, they are unaware of the legal and medical issues. They made an appeal to the high-ups to look into the gruesome incident and help them get justice.

Her condition is thought to give a rare insight into the brutality at the hands of influential.
According to a spokesperson for Islamabad police, they reviewed the entire episode but they have not received an application to act on.

When contacted, Judge Asim said: “ Rizwana refused to do anymore and she hit her head with the wall as my wife talked about sending her back.
He added: “She was afraid of going home as, according to her, her mother would torture her if she returns.
“My wife called her mother to bring her back. She also went to the Islamabad bus terminal to see them off
“The maid's mother tortured her at the bus stop too and my wife returned after handing her over to her. We are oblivious to what happened next.”
However, he said he came to know about the torture after the issue made headlines
