Human smuggling racketeer nabbed in Peshawar

Lawmen claimed to have nailed a major human smuggling racketeer in Peshawar.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the arrested is identified as Duran Khan and belonged to Jamrud.

He was wanted in the case of the Libya boat tragedy that took place in February this year, claiming dozens of lives and leaving a trail of devastation.
The European Border and Coast Guard Agency, known as Frontex, reported about 54,000 attempts to illegally enter the continent from Libya.
After Ivory Coast and Guinea, Pakistan accounts for the greatest number of migrants on this route.
More than half of the illegal attempts, three times more than last year, were made via the central Mediterranean route, according to Frontex.
The authorities launched a hunt for human traffickers since an overloaded fishing boat carrying up to 750 migrants capsized in the Mediterranean Sea on June 14.
The accident near Greece could be one of the deadliest in recent history.
Reports suggest the boat was carrying about 200 to 300 Pakistanis, the most from any single country.
