Father and daughter drown in Indus River in Hyderabad

A tragic accident occurred in the Hussain Abad area of Hyderabad, where a father and his young daughter drowned while bathing in the Indus River, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Sunday.
According to the police, fifty-year-old Yaqub and his seven-year-old daughter Maryam, both residents of Karachi, died in the accident. The family had come to visit relatives in Hyderabad.
The incident happened when Maryam's foot slipped while she was bathing in the river. Yaqub, in a desperate attempt to save his daughter, went after her but unfortunately, both drowned.
The bodies of the deceased were recovered and shifted to Karachi after the completion of legal formalities.
