Karachi Kings have officially announced Australian cricket superstar David Warner as their captain for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.
The franchise is banking on Warner’s aggressive leadership and match-winning ability to guide the team to success in the highly anticipated tournament.
A World Cup-winning veteran and one of the most explosive T20 openers in cricket history, Warner brings extensive experience to the leadership role. Over the years, he has captained teams in various global leagues, including the Big Bash League (BBL), demonstrating his tactical acumen and ability to inspire his teammates. His selection as Karachi Kings’ first pick in the HBL PSL Players Draft 2025, held at the iconic Hazuri Bagh in Lahore on January 13, highlights the franchise’s belief in his ability to lead from the front.
Warner takes over from Shan Masood, who led the team in PSL 9. The Karachi Kings management expressed deep gratitude to Masood for his contributions, recognizing his professionalism, tactical intelligence, and commitment to building a competitive squad.
