Deepika Padukone criticizes Oscar for snubbing Indian talent

Acclaimed Bollywood Deepika Padukone took issue with the Academy Awards for repeatedly snubbing deserving Indian movies and talent, saying in her statement: “India has been robbed of the Oscars many many times.”
Deepika Padukone has lately shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video on her Instagram in which she can be seen getting ready for the Louis Vuitton show during Paris Fashion Week while responding to the various queries relating to Oscar awards.
Deepika Padukone, while responding to a question in the video opened up regarding her personal connection to the Oscars. She said that India has been robbed by Oscar many times, also adding that she thinks various deserving movies just get snubbed there.
Detailing her moment at the Oscar, Deepika recalled her emotional time when the popular movie RRR was announced on the stage for the award. Deepika said that outside of being Indian she had nothing to do with the movie but that moment felt very personal to her.
It is important to mention that Deepika Padukone has introduced RRS's song Naatu Naatu on stage at the Oscars that year.
Moving on, in the same video Deepika also revealed her favorite win at the Oscar ceremony. Saying “ I am very happy for Adrien Brody who won the Best Actor Award for the Brutalist."
