Ex-PM Nawaz will surrender to courts today

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will appear in Islamabad High Court and Accountability Court Islamabad and surrender today.
A division bench of Islamabad High Court, comprising Chief Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, will hear the bail pleas of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references.
Nawaz Sharif bought time to appear in the court by October 24. Nawaz Sharif's appeals against conviction in Avenfield and Al-Azizia references are also scheduled for hearing today.
He will also appear in the accountability court in the Toshahkhana reference. Accountability Court judge Muhammad Bashir Toshakhana will hear the reference.
In the previous hearing, the court suspended the permanent arrest warrant of Nawaz Sharif in the reference till today and declared that if Nawaz Sharif does not appear by October 24, the warrant will be executed.
The security of the court has been stepped up to avert any untoward incident. Entry of irrelevant persons will be prohibited. Entry into the accountability court is subject to prior permission while entry into the Islamabad High Court will be subject to passes issued by the Registrar's Office.
