KP seeks Army’s help for enforcing Covid-19 SOPs

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sought Army’s help to enforce corona-related measures in the province, reported 24 News HD TV Channel on Sunday.
The KP government sent a request to the federal government to send Army to the province to help the administration in implementing the restrictions necessary to stem the spread of Covid virus.
It was decided in the meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) held on Friday that provinces could seek the Army’s help for the enforcement of coronavirus curbs, the local administration would introduce to stop the Covid virus advance.
According to the health department, 37 people succumbed to Covid-19 and 1,265 new cases emerged in the province during the last 24 hours.
Cases in Mardan. Haripur, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Swat, Lower Dir, Shangla, Abbottabad, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan, Peshawar were rising.
The coronavirus crisis is intensifying both in KP and Punjab provinces.
