The US Embassy has issued a security alert for its staff in wake of the suicide attack in Islamabad, the 24NewsHD TV channel
The American Embassy has refrained staff from going to Marriott Hotel to avert any possible disaster.
According to reports, American personnel may be attacked at any time during the holidays and due to alarming security, Islamabad has been put on red alert.
The embassy personnel should avoid non-essential, non-official travel during the holidays, it stressed.
