The Lahore High Court (LHC) Tuesday issued a new roster of judges for case hearings over the next two months, following the approval of Chief Justice Alia Neelum, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.

The revised schedule will be in effect from March 3 to May 5, during which 25 single benches and 10 division benches will conduct hearings at the principal seat.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Alia Neelum and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh will hear all types of cases, ensuring broad judicial oversight.

Tax and banking matters will be handled by a two-member bench of Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Risal Hassan Syed, while tax, commercial, and property cases will be heard by Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza and Justice Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir.

Serious crime cases, including those related to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), will be overseen by Justice Syed Shahbaz Rizvi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh.

Civil appeals will be heard by Justice Faisal Zaman Khan and Justice Khalid Ishaq, whereas Justice Shahid Karim and Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh will preside over civil and tax cases.

Additionally, intra-court appeals and other civil matters will be heard by Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal and Justice Waqar Haider Awan.

Appeals against death penalty sentences will be reviewed by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry and Justice Sardar Akbar Dogar.

Cases related to drug offences will be handled by Justice Farooq Haider and Justice Ali Zia Bajwa, while Justice Sultan Tanveer and Justice Hassan Nawaz Makhdoom will preside over civil appeals.
