PTI ex-MPA Zafar Iqbal arrested by Jhelum police

Former PTI member of the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal was formally arrested on Tuesday under Section 16 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to family sources, the ex-MPA was taken away by Jhelum police from Chak Jamal on Monday night to an undisclosed location on the pretext of questioning.

Now the police said Zafar Iqbal has been arrested under MPO16 and shifted to jail.

Sources in police said the former lawmaker has gone underground since long in another area.
