Veena Malik approaches Karachi court for return of dowry from ex-husband

Actress Veena Malik Saturday approached Karachi court for the return of dowry items and gifts from her ex-husband Asad Bashir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, former husband Asad Bashir has been made a party in the petition.

The petition stated the petitioner (Veena Malik) was married to Asad Bashir on December 25, 2014, adding that during the marriage, two children, Abram Khan and Amal Khan, were born.

According to petition, the petitioner had separated from Asad Bashir on January 26, 2017.

The petition said: “Asad Bashir is an influential man so we have moved from Rawalpindi to Karachi”.

The petition stated that Asad Bashir has gifts of Veena Malik, which were gifted to her from friends, adding that the gifts received by Veena Malik are worth more than Rs20m.

According to petition, Asad Bashir had earlier said he would return all the items, but now Asad Bashir is saying that all the items have been stolen.

The court sought evidence from the petitioner at the next hearing and the further hearing of the case has been adjourned till July 9.

Meanwhile, the lawyer of Asad Bashir, Abid Hassan Kiani said: “We have filed a petition for action against Veena Malik.

It is pertinent to note that actress Veena Malik has filed the petition in the name of Zahida Malik.
