HEC bans amissions in private universities’ illegal sub-campuses

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has barred students from taking admissions in illegal sub-campuses of private universities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

In this regard, HEC has issued an alert for students and in the alert, the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has identified legal and illegal sub-campuses.

The Higher Education Commission has declared 42 sub-campuses of only 20 out of 109 universities and institutes as legal.

Sub-campuses of Rafah University and National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in Lahore have been declared legal.

In the alert, HEC warned that students should beware of illegal sub-campus admissions and don't waste money and time because HEC will not certify degrees issued by illegal sub-campuses.
